On a farm in Auburn, a tractor caught fire and spread to the barn causing extensive fire damage to this 14,000 square foot horse stable with over 30 stalls and other rooms. The property was in escrow at the time of the fire, adding to the challenge of the project. We worked with the seller and the insurance company to facilitate the claim settlement and restoration as well as addressing the buyer’s concerns and accommodating his change requests. Rot was discovered during the restoration and the rot damage repair was incorporated into the fire damage repairs. The entire barn was rewired to current electrical code. The stalls, shower, office, and laundry area were rebuilt and an enlarged paddock for birthing was created. The structure was also completely re-roofed with a new metal roof. This fire damage repair transformed a charred barn into a beautiful, modern stable ready for its new equine residents.
